THE CENTER

 What is ORCA?

The Offshore Racing Center of Australia (ORCA) is a not-for-profit Incorporated Association the purpose of which is to assist young Australian sailors in becoming international professional offshore racing skippers.

Based at the Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club in Sydney's Pittwater and at the Centre Excellence Voile in La Rochelle, France, the Center provides a platform which supports and accompany racing skippers internationally in their professional development project.

How does it work?

ORCA's skippers are members who are encouraged to explore, formulate and realize a professional offshore racing project. During its development and execution, they remain in charge of all decisions at all time.

The Center provides them with the resources necessary to the project success: training, workshops, connections, guidance,  support abroad, ...

When does it run?

ORCA is open all year round.

Interested sailors are invited to come and discover the challenges of double handed and solo sailing during dedicated sessions or small local races.

If they feel enthusiastic about offshore racing as a skipper, we encourage them to conceptualize an ambitious project, which will constitute the foundation of their professional development journey.

Once a member, all resources of ORCA become accessible to support their progress and the realization of their project.
